NBA史詩數字!盤點NBA最牢不可破的神獸級紀錄

In the 75-year history of the NBA, many records have been continuously set and pushed up, and there are also many records that have been hanging high for many years and are difficult to break, such as the winning streak record in a single season. In the past, there have only been 5 times in history that a record of more than 20 consecutive wins in a single season has been achieved. In the 2015-16 season, the Warriors went 24-0 and ended with 73-9, breaking the Bulls' record of 72 wins. In the 2012-13 season, the Miami Heat won 27 consecutive games.LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade, plus Ray Allen.

But this record is held by the Lakers in the 1971-72 season. The team included Hall of Fame stars such as Wilt Chamberlain, Jerry West and Gail Goodrich. They set the longest 33-game winning streak in North American professional sports and are one of the most unbreakable records in the NBA. .

Let’s take a look at those records that the NBA still has a high chance of hanging even after its 100th anniversary:

single season record

Wilt Chamberlain-50.4 points, 39.5 shots, 48.5 minutes per game

The various monsters and statistics Chamberlain set in the 1961-62 season are basically impossible to surpass. Michael Jordan is the closest player, but he only had 37.1 points (1986-87). 39.5 shots are even more elusive than scoring. No other player in history averaged more than 30 shots per game. Elgin Baylor averaged 29.7 shots per game, and Jordan and Allen Iverson once averaged 27 shots per game.

The average playing time of 48.5 minutes per game is Chamberlain's mythical record. He was never substituted during regular time that season. He only missed 8 minutes because of a foul in the fourth quarter of a game. The reason why he averaged more than 48 minutes per game was because of the extension of 7 games. Game, Chamberlain miraculously had almost no foul trouble in the 1961-62 season, averaging 1.5 fouls per game, a career low.

Rasheed Wallace-41 record fouls

Rasheed Wallace has been a hot-tempered prodigal in his career. His relationship with referees has deteriorated due to frequent conflicts with referees. In the 1999-2000 season, he first set a record with 38 technical fouls. In the next season, in the 2000-01 season, he set a record of 41 technical fouls. 18 ejections.

In 2006, the NBA established new rules. Anyone who accumulates 16 technical fouls in a single season will be suspended. The new rules will freeze Wallace's record. Wallace swallowed 317 technical fouls in 16 seasons of his career, ranking third in history, second only to Karl Malone's 322 and Charles Barkley's 329.

Walt Bellamy - 88 games played

At the beginning of the 1968-69 season, Bellamy played 35 games with the New York Knicks. Later, he was traded to the Detroit Pistons. Due to the unbalanced schedule, Bellamy played 53 more games, for a total of 88 games in a single season. So far, there have been 41 players who have played more than 82 games. The most recent one was Josh Smith who played 83 games for the Pistons and Rockets in the 2014-15 season.

career record

Mose Marlone - 6,731 offensive rebounds

If you add in the ABA record, Mose Marlone has a total of 7,382 offensive rebounds, 2,500 more than second-ranked Artis Gilmore. If you only count the NBA, Mose Marlone has 2,100 more than Chief Robert Parish. Mose Marlone also holds the record for offensive rebounds in a single game with 21. The current offensive rebound record holder is Dwight Howard, but he is still 2,600 points behind Marlone.

John Stockton-15806 assists

From 1987 to 1996, Stockton led the league in assists for nine consecutive seasons, nearly 4,000 more than Jason Kidd, who ranks second in history, and nearly 5,000 more than Chris Paul, who currently ranks third. In the 2021-22 season, Chris Paul ranks first in the league with about 10 assists per game. If he wants to surpass Stockton, Paul must maintain this state until he is 42 years old.

Utah Jazz legend Stockton holds the single-season assist record for 4 seasons, setting 7 of the top 10 positions, and has 20 or more assists in a single game 31 times. Stockton's 3,265 interceptions are also the NBA's interception leader, 600 more than second-placed Kidd.

AC Green Jr-1192 consecutive games played

AC Green Jr played 1,192 consecutive games from 1986 to 2001, playing for 4 different teams for 16 consecutive seasons to complete this record.

LeBron James scores in double figures in 1,067th consecutive regular season game

LBJ started this record in 2007, including the 2021-22 season after severely spraining his ankle in a game and scoring 10 points after scoring a three-pointer and exiting the game. James surpassed Michael Jordan's record in 2018 and set a record of 866 consecutive double-digit scoring games.

Hakeem Olajuwon-3830 stops

Although Mark Eaton's single-season average of 5.56 blocks per game is also a mythical record, Olajuwon's total blocks are still out of reach, 500 more than second-place Dikembe Mutombo. To catch up with Olajuwon's data, one must play for 15 consecutive seasons and average more than 3.1 blocks per game. However, only three players among active players have averaged more than three blocks per game in a single season (Myles Turner, Serge Ibaka, Hassan Whiteside)

Single game record

Scott Skiles-30 assists in one game

Starting from December 30, 1990, this record has been hanging for 30 years. With 6 minutes left in the fourth quarter, Skiles' assists had reached 29, tying Kevin Porter's record set in 1978. In the next game, he pushed the record to 30.

Skiles averaged 8.4 assists per game that season and had 22 points and 20 assists in another game. The closest one currently is 25 assists in a single game by Rajon Rondo in 2017. In the past 10 years, Rondo and Russell Westbrooks are the only two players with more than 22 assists in a single game.

Wilt Chamberlain-100 points in a single game

This super beast-level record was achieved by Chamberlain on March 2, 1962. Chamberlain also reached more than 70 points many times that season. The closest thing in the future is Kobe Bryant's 81 points in a single game (17 fewer shots than Chamberlain). Devin Booker is the only player after Kobe to have a record of 70 points in a single game.

Wilt Chamberlain-55 rebounds in one game

Another NBA mythical beast, Chamberlain. This game took place against the Celtics on November 24, 1960, breaking Bill Russell's record of 51 rebounds in a single game. Apart from Russell, only Jerry Lucas and Nathaniel Thurmond have had this record in a single game in history. A record of 40 rebounds.

Few players in the modern NBA have more than 56 team rebounds. From this perspective, Chamberlain's single-game record is obviously unbreakable.
