After experiencing a wave of departures from the team, the U.S. national team finally announced its 15-man roster before training camp. The team will decide on the final 12-man roster on August 17, U.S. time. The training camp roster is as follows:

Kemba Walker, Marcus Smart, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum (Celtics above), Khris Middleton, Brook Lopez (Bucks above), Kyle Lowry (Tyrannosaurus), Donovan Mitchell (Jazz), Harrison Barnes (Kings), Myles Turner (Pacers), Kyle Kuzma (Lakers), P.J. Tucker (Rockets), Thaddeus Young (Bulls), Bam Adebayo (Heat), and Mason Plumlee (Nuggets).

Starting from August 5, the main roster will conduct a four-day training camp with the target team, and an open intra-team warm-up match will be held on the last day. The coaching staff will be Gregg Popovich (head coach) and team members Steve Kerr, Lloyd Pierce and Jay Wright. 

The team will gather again on August 13 and play a warm-up match against Spain in Los Angeles. After confirming the main roster, the team will head to Australia for on-site training and play two warm-up matches against Australia on the 22nd and 24th, and the US team's final warm-up match against Canada on the 26th.

The target team is coached by Jeff Van Gundy, who is in charge of World Cup qualifying. The 14-man roster is Jarrett Allen, Joe Harris (above Nets), Marvin Bagley III, De'Aaron Fox (above Kings), Mikal Bridges (Suns), Jalen Brunson (above) Mavericks), John Collins, Trae Young (Hawks above), Pat Connaughton (Bucks), Torrig Craig (Nuggets), Jonathan Isaac (Magic), Jaren Jackson Jr. (Grizzlies), Mitchell Robinson (Knicks), Derrick White (Spurs).

The World Cup will be a two-week tournament starting on August 31st, with the championship game taking place on September 15th. The competition will be held in eight cities in China.
