Hailed as a genius in high school, RJ Barrett was a little acclimated after entering the NBA. His offensive efficiency was poor. His shooting measurements were only 38.3%, 29.2% and 54.6%. Some even called him the second Andrew Wiggins.
But in this game against the Hawks, Barrett finally proved himself a little bit. He was more decisive and correct in both attacking with the ball and shooting. Especially in the transition attack, he caused a lot of trouble for the Hawks. There were one or two very bright moments. Even though Trae Young scored 42 points efficiently, the Knicks, led by Barrett, all performed without the ball and beat the Hawks to end their losing streak.
